Narrative Description:

The McCarty Creek Bridge in Vernon County, Missouri on Road is a 60’ 4-panel, pin-connected Pratt pony truss with cut stone masonry abutments and timber deck over steel stringers.  The bridge was built c1895 by the Missouri Valley Bridge & Iron Works of Leavenworth, Kansas.  The bridge is in original and relatively good condition.  Its small size and original condition would make it an excellent candidate for reuse in another location.

The Vernon County Commission has accepted a proposal for the reuse of this bridge. The relocation of the bridge will occur when the bridge is replaced. No additional proposals are being solicited, or will be accepted, for this bridge.
