Updates on MoDOT’s KC District’s work

MoDOT is taking additional steps to ensure you are aware of the latest construction-related restrictions. We are highlighting in red each day's new information so that you can forward this breaking news to motorists in a timely manner.

Cass County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

Route 71:  Construction work will close various lanes will be closed on both northbound and southbound Route 71 between 307th Street and Route 7 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, to Thursday, May 24, to remove and place temporary traffic barriers on the inside shoulders of Route 71 at 283rd Street.

Route N: Bridge repair will close the of Route N bridge between Route Z and Route B  from May 21 to June 25.

Route D: Pavement resurfacing will reduce Route D to one lane between Route 58 and Route Y in Cleveland from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m from May 21 to May 25. A pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. 

Route 71: Traffic work will close one lane of Route 71 northbound between Y Highway and Red Bridge Road from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from May 17 to June 7.

Route W: Chip seal overlay will close a lane of Route W between Route A and Route O in either direction from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 16-18.

Route E: Bridge replacement will close Route E in Strasburg from May 7 through June 25.

Route 58:  Pavement repair will close one lane of Route 58 westbound near Route 150 from April 30 to May 31 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

Clay County 

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

I-435: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of the northbound outer road of I-435 between Route 169 and Cookingham Drive from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 17 to June 15.

Route MM: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Route MM in each direction near Route 69 from May 17 to June 15 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

Route 291: Bridge maintenance will close one lane of Route 291 southbound between Ruth Ewing Road and Route 210 from May 18 to May 25.

Route 169: Pavement repair will close one lane of Route 169 in each direction in various locations between 68th Street and Broadway May 2 and June 29 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Route W: Bridge repair will close Route W bridge between Route J and Route F from April 12 to May 23.

Route 69: Bridge maintenance will close one lane of Route 69 in each direction between Lightburne Road and Route 33 through July 3.

I-29: Bridge maintenance will close one lane of I-29 southbound between Route 69 to Route D from April 2 to June 6.

Route 69: Bridge replacement will reduce Route 69 to one lane in both directions between Chandler and East Heartland Drive north of Liberty from 7 a.m. through August 1.

Route 169: Shoulder work will restrict traffic on Route 169 in each direction between 108th Street and Route 152 through November 5.

Jackson County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

I-470: Shoulder work will close one lane of I-470 in each direction between Douglas Road and Route 350 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on May 22 to May 24.

I-70: Pavement resurfacing will close various lanes of I-70 in each direction between Blue Ridge Boulevard and Manchester Trafficway from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. May 21 through May 24.

I-435: Striping will close various lanes I-435 in each direction between State Line Road and Bannister Road from May 21 to May 23 from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night.

Route 150: New pavement construction will close one lane of Route 150 eastbound between Scott Road and the outer road of Route 71 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 21 to May 23.

I-435: Construction work will close the right lane of southbound I-435 from Front Street to Blue River Bridge on May 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Route 291: Bridge maintenance will close a lane of northbound Route 291 at Route 210 through May 21.

I-435: Striping will close various lanes I-435 in each direction between State Line Road and Bannister Road from May 21 to May 23 from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night. (Mike Frizzell, 816-215-7279)

Route 291: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Route 291 southbound between Truman Road and I-70 from April 30 to June 30 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Route 291: Pavement resurfacing and shoulder work will close one lane of Route 291 intermittently between Route 150 and Route 58 beginning April 30 to May 31 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. A pilot car will be directing traffic in the affected area.

I-435: Construction work will slow traffic at the ramp between I-435 and Front Street through May 25.

Front Street:  Pavement construction will close one lane of Front Street in each direction between Chouteau Trafficway and I-435 through May 25.

I-435: Shoulder work will close one lane of I-435 southbound from Route 78 to Stadium Drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through May.

Route 40: New pavement construction will close one lane of Route 40 in each direction between Stadium Drive and Manchester from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through May.

Johnson County

New Work Today and Updates/Changes

Route 13: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Business Route 13 between Route 20 and Route 13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 19 to May 22.

Route 13: County Road 251 between County Road 275 and County Road 200 has been closed permanently for construction of the Route 13 north loop.

Route 2: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Route 2 between Route CC and Route N  from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through May 21.

Route B: Bridge repair will close Route B near Route N through May 21.

Lafayette County

Route 127: Road repair will close one lane of Route 127 in each direction from Route 50 north to the Saline County line. Flaggers will maintain two way traffic at all times from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from May 21 to May 25.

Platte County   

 New Work Today and Updates/Changes

I-435: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of the I-435 outer road between Cookingham Drive and Route 169 from May 17 to June 15 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

Route B: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Route B in each direction between Route 92 and Route 116 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 17 to June 15.

Route D: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Route D in each direction between Route 92 and Route 116 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 17 to June 15.

Route DD: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Route DD in each direction between Route E and Route Z from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 17 to June 15.

Route EE: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Route EE in each direction between Route E and Route Z from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 17 to June 15.

Route H: Pavement resurfacing will close one lane of Route H in each direction between I-29 and Route 169 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.  from May 17 to June 15.

Route M: Pavement striping will close one lane of Route M between Route H and Route 116 from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 17 to June 15.

Route Y: Pavement striping will close one lane of Route Y between Route Z and Route 116 from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 17 to June 15.

Route 69: Bridge maintenance will close two lanes of Route 69 near I-635 from May 14 to May 21.

Route 45: Paving and intersection construction will close the northbound and southbound lanes of Bell Road at Route 45 beginning 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, through May 25. Access to the shopping center will be from Bell Road from the south only.

Route 45: Shoulder work will close one lane of Route 45 intermittently as embankment and shoulder work are completed as part of the bridge replacement on Route 45 near Farley, MO. The Farley-Hampton Road has been closed as part of this project through Sept. 3

Route 45: Permit work will close one lane of Route 45 northbound from April 3 to June 1.

Route N: Roundabout construction has closed Route N at 136th Street through August 3.

Route 45: Shoulder work will close one lane of Route 45 intermittently as embankment and shoulder work are completed as part of the bridge replacement on Route 45 near Farley, MO.
