What is IFTA?

The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) allows motor carriers to obtain a single fuel license and decals in Missouri, which is honored by all member jurisdictions. Motor carriers then pay quarterly fuel use taxes according to the gallons of fuel purchased to miles traveled within each jurisdiction.

IFTA is an agreement to promote and encourage the most efficient use of the highway system by making the administration of motor fuels taxation uniform for motor carriers operating in member jurisdictions.

Here you will find a complete instruction manual and the proper forms required to obtain an IFTA fuel license and decals. If you are renewing your current fuel license you will find a renewal guide and for all those frequently asked questions you may visit our list of FAQs.
