Major Road Closure will affect Monday Morning Commutes
Flooding causes closure of Rte. 141 at I-44 tonight at 10 p.m.

ST. LOUIS - Drivers in the St. Louis metropolitan area should be aware of a major road closure due to rising water from flooding rivers that will affect morning rush hour traffic Monday.

Starting at 10 p.m. tonight, crews will close Route 141 in both directions at Interstate 44. Motorists should start planning alternate routes around this closure for work and school commutes tomorrow morning. The road is expected to remain closed for most of this week.

In addition, Route 61 in Troy will reopen on Monday, but is expected to be closed during the morning rush hour.

Also, motorists who travel I-44 outside of the St. Louis region should be aware that the interstate is closed between Rolla and Lebanon.

Other major routes expected to close this week due to flooding throughout the district include:

St. Louis County

I-44 from I-270 to route 109

Route 30 from Route 141 to Rahning

Route 109 from Eureka High School to Route W

Route 21 at Meramec River

St. Charles County

Route 67 will have traffic running one lane in each direction from the Lewis and Clark Bridge in Alton, IL to Route 94 near West Alton

Warren County

Route 47 north of Washington

Lincoln County

Route 61 at Troy
